Akademi @ St. George’s Hospital Art week

We returned to the annual Art Week at St. George’s Hospital, Tooting with a full-day of Kathak performances and workshops on 4 July 2022.

Artists Jesal Patel and Seema Patel explored the theme of this year – togetherness – in their sessions. They performed in the wards, providing patients with moments of respite. It was delightful to see patients joining in and the smile that the sessions brought to their faces.

In 2021, artists Suhani Dhanki and Shiyamali Manoharan performed Bharatanatyam for the patients, their carers, and hospital staff during Art Week.
