Akademi was invited by Victoria & Albert Museum to curate the Roots to Home section during their family festival, The Shape of Us! on 19 Aug. Bharatanatyam artist, Anjana Bala, did a short performance followed by a family‑friendly interactive workshop.

Drawing upon key elements of Bharatanatyam during the workshop, the audience used gestures (mudras), Carnatic rhythms, and movement to explore what home means to us. The session was for families of all ages and no prior dance or movement experience was required to participate.
