Chelsea and Westminster hospital South Asian Heritage Month event, 18 July

To mark the end of the South Asian Heritage month at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, Akademi presented a curated set of Bharatanatyam and Kathak performances by two artists in the hospital foyer on 18th July 2024. Hospital staff, patients, family members, carers and passersby were present among the audiences.

About South Asian Heritage Month (SAHM)
SAHM is an annual celebration established in 2019 to recognise and honour the rich heritage of South Asian communities in the UK. The theme for this year, “Free to Be Me,” emphasised empowerment, pride, and the celebration of identity.
