*New | UK Tour of our award-winning production Plastic Drastic Fantastic, Oct 2025

We’re delighted to announce that our acclaimed family production Plastic Drastic Fantastic is embarking on an exciting UK tour, bringing environmental storytelling through dance to new audiences across England and Wales.

Plastic, Drastic, Fantastic is a 40-minute contemporary dance theatre work explores our complex relationship with plastics – the fantastic possibilities they offer, as well as the drastic consequences to the environment. Created for children aged 7+ and their families. Plastic Drastic Fantastic is choreographed by our Artistic Director, Suba Subramaniam, and the cast on this tour include Kavya Iyer, Meghna Lokabhirama Nandini Raju and Sneha Semaleesan.

We’re partnering with three distinctive venues, each known for championing innovative performance work:

  • Nottingham with Lakeside Arts
  • Leeds with Yorkshire Dance
  • Cardigan, Wales with Small World Theatre

Originally developed in 2022 as our co-production with Polka Theatre, Plastic Drastic Fantastic has since captivated audiences across London and nationally. This new tour phase extends our commitment to making contemporary South Asian dance accessible to diverse communities while addressing pressing environmental themes.

Drawing from the Indian dance forms of Kathak and Bharatanatyam, the artists explore plastics and the dangers of their misuse through intricate movement, gestures and play infused with interaction with the audience. The processes and stories underpinning this project have been steered by children and young people – who are at the heart of the research for this work – created in collaboration with material scientists at UCL. The production combines dance with urgent ecological storytelling, creating an engaging theatrical experience that sparks important conversations about sustainability and our relationship with the natural world.

This tour represents a significant expansion of the work’s reach, allowing us to bring our distinctive artistic voice to new regions while continuing our mission to connect with each other and the wider world through.

Tour dates and booking information can be found below.

“I strongly recommend that parents and children catch this wonderful show.”
