Dance Well at Angela Rippon’s Let’s Dance campaign press launch

The legendary and toe-tappingly fantastic Angela Rippon CBE partnered with national organisations to launch a campaign on 2 March 2025, that aimed to bring dance to everyone. This incredible initiative gathered dance organisations, charities, health professionals, community groups, and even celebrities, all to get MORE people dancing!

Angela’s journey on Strictly Come Dancing highlighted to her the incredible benefits of regular dancing, and now
she’s on a mission to get the whole nation dancing, a vision Akademi shares.

We’re also thrilled to have been invited to perform at the campaign’s press launch event on February 8th at the Guildhall, London. Akademi has been working hard to make South Asian dance a part of everyone’s creative expression, so it was very special for us to be a part of this event. Our wonderful Dance Well participants from Holborn Community Association showcased their brand new choreography, co-created with the amazing artist Jesal Patel.
