Performances at Devonshire Square Diwali Festival, 21 October

21 October 2024, 5:30pm to 7:30pm
Devonshire Square, Liverpool Street

We returned to Devonshire Square to perform at the seventh edition of their Diwali festival in the atmospheric Western Courtyard. The event is specially curated every year by the Devonshire Square Community & Events Management in collaboration with Akademi.

And this was a milestone year, celebrating 10 years of cultural events on the square. It has been absolute honour for Akademi to be a part of the wonderful events here from the very beginning, working hand-in-hand with the incredible team at Devonshire Square.

The show featured an enthralling sequence of Indian classical and folk dances, including Odissi, Kathak, Bharatanatyam, Bhangra and Garba, as well as a mesmerising Kandyan dance performance, a highly sophisticated and refined folk dance from Sri Lanka. The evening ended with a Bollywood extravaganza and an interactive workshop.
