Akademi @ The Royal Collection Trust
This summer Akademi returned to The Queen’s Gallery, Buckingham Palace collaborating with Royal Collection Trust on performances and community programmes. Inspired by the current exhibition ‘Splendours of the Subcontinent’ , Akademi curated classical Indian dance, music and storytelling performances connected to the exhibits and the era in which they are set.
Over the months of August and September, we will be working with members of four community groups, including older adults and women’s groups, across London to deliver a five-week workshop programme. This series will culminate in performances by the participants at The Queen’s Gallery on 3 and 17 September. These workshops are funded by the Bagri Foundation.
