Akademi at Camden Kalā Festival
This summer sees Camden celebrating the UK-India Year of Culture and they have invited Akademi to perform at their Camden Kalā Summer Community Fun Days on 2, 15 and 23 August 2018. These fun-filled events will take place between 1pm and 5pm at Peckwater Estate, Kilburn Grange Park and the community park next to the Swiss Cottage library.
Akademi will be presenting Bhangra (Punjabi folk dance) by Epika Dance and Dandiya Raas (Gujarati folk dance) by Dancenbeats. Apart from performances, the audiences can also enjoy face painting, henna art, balloon modelling and a saree tying session. There will also be food and refreshments, traditional Indian dance performances and a chance to speak to Camden Council staff about their services.
