Mavin Khoo and Gauri Tripathi choreographed Sapnay - a visual journey celebrating hybridism through the eyes of urban London - thirty minutes of dreamlike fantasy! Sapnay was vibrant London set to a remixed sound track, arranged by international DJ Matt Ross.
Over twenty artists from a range of backgrounds (Kathak, Bharatanatyam, Ballet and Modern Dance) presented a seamless voyage of dance.
This event was presented by Akademi and commissioned by the Mayor of London in 2005 as part of the Trafalgar Square Festival, a three-week season of free live performance, and in 2006 for The Big Dance.
