AKADEMI ANNOUNCES RECIPIENTS FOR ARTS COUNCIL ENGLAND SOUTH ASIAN CHOREOGRAPHIC DEVELOPMENT BURSARY

Akademi has selected three top dance artists to participate in its choreographic development programme for artists working in South Asian dance. Subathra Subramaniam, Aakash Odedra and Kali Chandra Segaram were chosen for the bursary, initiated by Akademi and funded by Arts Council England (ACE).

This is the first time that Arts Council has worked with Akademi on supporting a South Asian choreographic development programme. This will allow Akademi to extend its services in developing and nurturing South Asian dance in the UK.

The ACE South Asian Choreographic Development Programme Bursary will enable the chosen professionals to gain the support they need to develop as choreographic artists.
